Duration: 3 years, with possible extension for another 5 years.

Must have skills: 5 years of experience working as a graphic designer in animal health, veterinary medicine or agriculture industry and extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
Job Description
The Client requires a qualified, experienced individual who has expertise and experience in graphic design and layout as well as a demonstrated knowledge and experience in animal health or agriculture industries.
Responsibilities
The Designer shall be responsible for the following services/deliverables including, but not limited to the following:
- Various animal health/veterinary reports and proposals that include illustrative and visual components, follow Client branding and are based on organizational design templates.
- Regular animal health newsletters (print and web)
- Variety of posters and displays promoting aspects of animal health (clinical services, education and research) for conferences and tradeshows.
- Print and online advertising and promotional materials targeting animal owners, veterinarians and livestock producers.
- Proven creative ability and artistic talent, as demonstrated by a portfolio of work completed.
- Highly responsive to project requests and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to use organizational design templates as well as past designs for project development.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience working as a graphic designer in animal health, veterinary medicine or agriculture industry
- A university degree in visual arts with specialization in graphic design, commercial art or graphic communications; or completion of a college diploma program in graphic arts is required
- A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Advanced knowledge of print and electronic production processes as well as web design.
- Demonstrated ability to satisfy the University requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a university environment or an organization of similar complexity.
- Understanding of scope of the Service.
- Relevant experience, competence, and reliability in handling similar projects.
