The role of Assistant or Associate Social Copywriter on the A&F Creative Marketing team will focus on the creation of on-brand paid and organic copy to appear on various platforms, primarily TikTok and Instagram. In addition to writing, this role collaborates closely with Social Strategists and Art Directors to conceptualize and execute scroll-stopping, share-worthy content on a consistent basis. Successful candidates will have a relentless passion for social media as well as for our brands, a strong knowledge of social trends, and applicable social experience/ personal social expertise. All A&F copywriters must possess near-perfect editing and grammar skills and be able to write short, smart, snappy copy that has a clear point of view and a recognizable voice. The ideal applicant is curious, energetic, optimistic and highly collaborative.

What will you be doing?

Writing engaging social copy for A&F and abercrombie kids
Generating unique content creation ideas with creative partners
Developing and implementing social strategies to increase awareness/ engagement
Staying on top of social trends and language
Writing copy for organic social feed, stories and platforms
Helping write copy for paid media, SMS and push notifications as needed
Editing copy based on leadership feedback, changes to product, trends, performance, etc.
Applying high-level campaign messaging to social platforms appropriately
Staying curious and up-to-date on fashion trends & terminology
Performing and sharing competitive research with the team to better inform copy going forward

What will you need to bring?

All A&F copywriters must possess near-perfect editing and grammar skills and be able to write short, smart, snappy copy that has a clear point of view and a recognizable voice
Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing or Advertising/ Copywriting, or related experience
A relentless passion for social media, engaging with brands and channels every day as though it’s second nature
1-3 years of copywriting experience, preferably in the retail space
A portfolio showcasing your passion for the social landscape - please include your social handle(s) if they help convey your social copywriting skills
Basic knowledge of marketing principles
Proficiency in social media and understanding of best practices across platforms
Strong written/ verbal communication & exceptional editing skills
Seamless collaboration skills, including openness to copy coming from anywhere
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Open to providing feedback and receiving constructive criticism
An ongoing interest in fashion & familiarity with our brand/ competitors
Self-starter mindset with the ability to project manage requests as needed
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Teams, knowledge of AirTable & Adobe Creative Suite encouraged, but not required

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your years of experience, your work location, comparison to other employees in similar or related roles, or market demands. The range may be modified in the future.
